Positions include Rural Carrier Assistant (CRA), Urban Carrier Assistant (CCA), Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) and Postal Support Employee (PSE) associated with sales and service/distribution (SSDA).

Postal Support Employee (PSE) Sales and Service/Distribution Associate (SSDA) – A SSDA PSE serves customers at the retail counter and distributes mail and packages for postal staff to deliver. The position is very flexible; an employee can be scheduled any time and day, including weekends and holidays. This non-career position can lead to a career job.

Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) – An RCA will have continuous part-time employment. This on-call position could be ideal if you are retired, self-employed, stay-at-home parent, educator, night student or if you work an evening schedule. An RCA serves families and businesses in rural and suburban areas. This employee is responsible for delivering and collecting mail, working part-time when scheduled carriers have scheduled days off or vacation days. An RCA also sells stamps, supplies and money orders. A candidate must have a valid driver’s license and demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record. A personal vehicle may be required. Becoming an RCA is the first step to becoming a regular full-time rural carrier with all the benefits.

Assistant Rural Carrier (ARC) – Scheduled as needed, an ARC delivers parcels on Sundays and observed holidays, and on Saturdays, may sort, deliver and collect mail and parcels along a designated rural route. This pre-career position requires the use of a personal vehicle.

City Carrier Assistant (CCA) – A CCA delivers mail and packages on a varied schedule that may include weekends and holidays. The position requires a valid Georgian driver’s license, safe driving record and experience with one or more passenger cars. A CCA is programmed to operate according to service needs. The position may or may not lead to career employment.
