Tamkeen pledges to provide cybersecurity training to Bahrainis

Bahrain Labor Fund (Tamkeen) said it has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with SANS Institute, a world-renowned US-based cybersecurity training provider, to provide quality training to hundreds of Bahrainis starting with 200 graduates over the next two years. .

SANS Institute aims to equip cybersecurity professionals with the practical skills and knowledge they need to make the world a safer place.

Their courses are aimed at all information security professionals, regardless of experience level, and provide a hands-on approach that equips professionals with skills and knowledge they can apply immediately in their professional life.

Tamkeen said the move is in line with its strategic direction and responds to market needs that demand high-quality and specialized technology training opportunities for Bahrainis, as well as the pressing need for skilled cybersecurity professionals.

These opportunities will help Bahrainis upskill and retrain to fill this gap and establish sustainable career paths in the tech sector, he said.

Tamkeen CEO Husain Mohamed Rajab said: “Through our 2021-2025 strategy, we are committed to having a greater impact on the economy. Earlier this year, the kingdom’s labor fund embarked on a transformation process to focus its efforts on increasing economic impact by improving productivity and encouraging employment and investment, particularly in sectors with high potential, in accordance with national priorities.

This transformation has resulted in 16 support programs designed to meet market needs and enable businesses and individuals to reach their highest potential, he added.
