BELLOWS FALLS, Vermont – Heather Allen and Shelley Wasklewicz, who have been business partners since summer 2021, are located in the Times Building in Bellows Falls and have been open to retail customers since May.

The team at Seams Sew Together currently offers a variety of handmade products for your home, including custom wall hangings, bed-sized quilts, table runners, placemats and pillows. . Their services include providing quilting and long arm binding services to quilters, as well as selling batting, notions, patterns and fabric.

Allen and Wasklewicz are also adding a range of classes for the fall season, including a “beginner class” in which students will learn how to create a quilt from start to finish over a series of Tuesday evenings. There will also be a “Poppins class of bag”, which is a versatile and durable bag, and for more experienced sewers, and “Starline” will use a model with a suede backing that “sticks” to your fabric, allowing much more precision.

Another “little gift-making demo class” will offer ideas for creating quick gifts for the upcoming holiday season. The company will also host an “Open Sew” workshop once a month, where attendees can come and work on the projects they love and work with, and receive advice from others. In addition, a “Sunday Best Quilts” once a month will provide time and space for those who work at their own pace on quilts from the “Sunday Best Quilts” book.

Seams Sew Together opening hours have recently changed with the season. Until September 25, 2022, the shop will be open Mondays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesdays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

“We understand these hours won’t work for everyone,” Shelly Wasklewicz said in a recent interview. “Therefore, we invite everyone to contact us by email or through our website, to see if we can create an alternative schedule that will work should the need arise.

“Heather and I also work part-time but promise to do whatever we can to help everyone.

“We also encourage everyone to visit our Facebook page and website for more information on future activities and possible adjustments to opening hours,” Wasklewicz added. “We look forward to the next courses, workshops and activities.”
