Over 600 jobs available in Somerset, Hunterdon counties

Employers in Hunterdon and Somerset counties will attempt to fill more than 600 current vacancies at the Greater Raritan 2022 job fair, held at the Hindu Temple and Cultural Society on Route 202-206 in Bridgewater from 10 a.m. at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 24. Job seekers do not need to register.

Almost 100 employers based in Hunterdon and Somerset counties have registered for this free event. This is the first large-scale, in-person job fair hosted by the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board (GRWDB) since the pandemic began.

As of May 3, 88 employers have registered to attend the event; the temple conference center location can accommodate up to 100 employer attendees.

“Community members from across the region are invited to meet all employers at this free event,” said GRWDB Board Chair Joanne Hala. “Be prepared to share your resume, network with hiring managers and other job seekers, and gather career information from employers and agency participants.”

The hundreds of jobs offered by these local businesses and nonprofits are full-time and part-time and range from entry-level to more experienced positions. Participating employers represent the sectors of child care and education, construction, county government, finance, healthcare, health and wellness, recreation and hospitality, life sciences, manufacturing, personal and family services, retail, sports, transportation and logistics, technology and veterinary care. .

The event will also have a resource table with information from career-related agencies and organizations and other partners working with the GRWDB. In addition, rooms will be available for one-on-one discussions with employers, as needed.

Employers interested in participating in this event can register here. Applications will be accepted and the roll will be maintained in the order in which the completed forms are received. Once capacity is reached, employers will be put on a waiting list and notified if a table becomes available.
