New report reveals the best tech jobs in Australia 2022

Big salaries, solid job security, and plenty of opportunities – these are some of the perks of a tech job. Fortunately, there are plenty, with the recent report “The Guide to the IT Professions” finding that the number of IT jobs has increased by 14% over the past five years, just behind the 21% in the IT sector. health.

The research was conducted by ACS – Australia’s technology industry trade association – in partnership with Lightcast, the global leader in job analytics, and has analyzed millions of job vacancies in Australia since 2016.

“The Guide to the IT Professions report highlights the great opportunities in the technology sector and how fierce the competition for talent now is,” said Jo Dalvean, vice president of ACS. “For employers, the report shows how important it is to establish alternative pathways in industry beyond IT-related degrees. Some of the best talent in the industry does not go through traditional career progression .

Dalvean also went on to say that for tech students and workers, the report shows the potential of emerging technologies.
