Lillian A. (Lozeau) (Constant) Worcester

Lillian A. (Lozeau) (Constant) Worcester, 93, of Nashua, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at Fairview Nursing Home, Hudson, New Hampshire on Friday, October 28, 2022.

Born in Nashua on October 25, 1929, Lillian was the daughter of the late Euchariste and the late Elphema (Héroux) Lozeau. Educated in the Nashua school system, she graduated from Presentation of Mary Academy, Hudson, in 1947, after which she enrolled in the nursing program at St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing, graduating with the Class of 1950 and receiving her RN license a few months later. She worked for many years in nursing at St. Joseph’s Hospital in various capacities. She has been a pediatric nurse, practice nurse, clinical teacher at nursing school, and assistant to the director of nursing services at the hospital. She eventually joined Ingersoll-Rand Co. as an occupational health nurse from 1974 until her retirement in 1992. Even after her retirement, she kept her hand in the field of occupational health, working full time partial for Anheuser-Busch Inc. for a few years. She was a member of the New Hampshire State Nurses Assoc. and the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses. Lillian received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from New England College, Henniker, New Hampshire, in 1985. While at Ingersoll-Rand, she received the National Scripp Award for New Hampshire Occupational Health Nurse of the Year .

Lillian was a very active, loving, dynamic and family-oriented person who loved to travel, read, do house plans and garden, especially during her retirement years. She was also a longtime dedicated member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Nashua.

Lillian is survived by her children, her son, David Constant and his wife, Elizabeth, of Fort Mill, South Carolina; his daughter, Linda Hey and her husband, Dennis, Bailey of Milford, New Hampshire; his son, Thomas Constant and his wife, Deborah, of Niceville, Florida; his son-in-law, Daniel Worcester of Claremont, New Hampshire; and her daughter-in-law, Deborah Gifford of Manchester, New Hampshire; his grandchildren, Curtis Constant and his wife, Amy; Nyra Cunningham and her husband, Jesse; Jason Hey and his wife, Taylor; Adam Hey and Megan Baldwin; Joshua Hey and his wife, Jennifer; Austin Constant and his fiancée, Jessica Fleming; Kaycie Constant; his great-grandchildren, Nola and Clayton Constant; his sister-in-law, Phyllis Lozeau, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Philbrook Worcester, (in 2004); his siblings and their spouses, Edgar and Rachel Lozeau, Claire (Lozeau) and Claude Nichols; Albert and Katherine Lozeau, Aurèle and Lucille Lozeau, Ernest and Marjorie Lozeau, Raymond and Lorraine Lozeau, Robert Lozeau, Yvonne (Lozeau) and Daniel Doyle; and her first husband, Raymond Constant.

Relatives and friends are invited during roll call Monday, November 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish, 216 E. Dunstable Road, Nashua. His funeral will be on Monday, November 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish. His interment will follow at St. Louis de Gonzague Cemetery, 752 W. Hollis St., Nashua.
