Kum & Go expansion means new markets, more stores, more jobs

DES MOINES, Iowa— Kum & Go LC, which announced a year ago that it would enter the Salt Lake City, Utah market and the Grand Rapids, Michigan market in 2022, said it plans to add more than 900 new store positions this year following the implementation of its updated program. brand and a new restaurant initiative, as well as its entry into new markets and its growth in existing markets.

Job postings will be for all store roles, with a focus on foodservice positions at all levels, including full-time, part-time and manager positions.

The retailer offers competitive wages, ranging from $14 to $17 per hour for full-time associates in the Des Moines and Ames, Iowa markets. It also offers full-time associates a benefits package that includes a weekly salary, fixed hours with consistent hours; a discount on food and beverages; medical, dental and vision insurance; 401(k); paid vacation; tuition reimbursement; career growth and development opportunities; and more.

The company also hosts in-store hiring events where potential associates can interview on-site. May and June events include Ankeny, Urbandale, West Des Moines and Des Moines, Iowa. Kum & Go said it plans to hire more than 5,000 associates across all of its locations this year, adding 176 food positions.
