  • FA Youth Awards
  • FA backup certificate
    • FA DBS Verification (CRB)
    • Able to be flexible with their work week, including evenings and weekends
    • Driving license and car


  • UEFA B license
  • FA Advanced Youth Awards (5-11)
    Previous experience working in a professional football academy working with and developing academy players across various age groups
    • Knowledge of EPPP and PMA

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of the pre-academy coaching program across a variety of age groups as directed by the Academy Director/Head of Coaching.
  • Work 2 evenings and weekends.
  • Work with an age group, assisting the head coach in the Games program.
  • Attend at least 5 hours of “in-service” training annually conducted by the FA and maintain Emergency First Aid qualification.
  • Take “in-service” training as part of their CPD organized by the Football Club.
  • Establish a strong link between local schools, grassroots clubs and grassroots coaches.
  • Liaise with the Academy Recruiting Manager regarding player progress, including trialists.
  • Ensuring that all Academy players are in a safe environment at all times, both in training and games.
  • Report any personal or player-based grievance to the Wellness Manager or Academy Manager.
  • Make sure all injuries are reported to the medical department.
