April 2022 saw a 5.44% decrease in overall hiring activity compared to March 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 16.49% share of total industry hiring activity in April 2022, down 0.49% from the average share for the past three months.
Software and Website Developers, Programmers and Testers Occupation Leaders by Classification in April 2022
The professions of software and website developers, programmers and testers became the leading IT profession in Asia-Pacific with a share of 74.57% in April 2022, a decrease of 19.09% from the month previous. Database and network administrators and architects came next, with a 10.71% share in April 2022, marking a 24.44% month-over-month increase. In third place were miscellaneous IT occupations with an 8.22% share in April 2022, an increase of 16.22% from March 2022.
IT support specialists recorded a 4.4% share in April 2022, down 32.35% from the previous month.
Top Five Medical Companies in Asia-Pacific IT Recruitment Activity in April 2022
The top five companies, by number of jobs tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 9.96% in overall Asia-Pacific medical IT recruitment activity in April 2022 per compared to the previous month.
Carl Zeiss posted 73 IT jobs in April 2022 and saw an increase of 563.64% from the previous month, followed by GE Healthcare with 63 jobs and a decline of 59.35%. Danaher with 63 IT jobs and Alcon with 42 jobs, saw steady growth and stable growth, respectively, while athenahealth saw a 59.09% increase with 35 job openings in April 2022.
Asia Pacific Medical IT Recruitment Country Composition
India was prominent in the region’s medical industry IT recruitment activity with a share of 66.73% in April 2022, down 9.82% from March 2022. China was next with a 9.75% share, down 52.78% from the previous month. Australia recorded an 8.6% share, a growth of 9.76% from March 2022.
Junior-level job openings dominate in April 2022
Junior-level jobs held a share of 59.66%, down 15.9% from March 2022. Mid-level positions, with a share of 28.87%, saw a decline of 26.7 % compared to the previous month.
In third place were entry-level vacancies with 10.9% market share, down 6.56% from March 2022, while senior vacancies accounted for 0.57%, registering a monthly growth of 50%.
