FirstWave Launches CyberCision Platform for IT Service Providers

Cloud and telecom security solution provider FirstWave has launched the CyberCision security management platform to enable service providers to increase revenue by delivering cybersecurity services at a reduced cost.

FirstWave has integrated its email security and web protection functionality into the CyberCision platform, providing seamless and automated email security integration for Microsoft 365 users.

FirstWave CEO Danny Maher said CyberCision on AWS enables service providers to deliver best-in-class cybersecurity technologies to their customers while increasing cybersecurity revenue at scale.

“We know that SMBs are the most vulnerable segment of the market, and it’s especially important that service providers can deliver these enterprise technologies at scale to this segment, as well as to enterprise customers themselves,” did he declare.

“Our Australian partners can now build a set of cybersecurity services tailored to meet their customers’ requirements and deliver them ‘as a service’ within the flexibility and scalability of AWS,” added Maher.

FirstWave commissioned a report from Frost and Sullivan that found comprehensive cyber protection for SMBs has become the next big revenue driver for IT service providers, with 60% of SMBs looking to outsource cybersecurity to a third party.

The report showed that SMBs have an “urgent” need for comprehensive cyber protection and are increasingly relying on managed service providers to remediate threats.

“Security, while a priority, often slips through the cracks, making it difficult for their IT service providers to intentionally and continuously establish a security-first organizational stance,” says the report.

“With CyberCision, service providers can create enterprise-grade cybersecurity-as-a-service packages, including a range of management and operational services such as multi-tenancy, billing and provisioning that allow them to streamline the sales and delivery process at minimal cost,” commented Maher.

CyberCision offers enhanced integration and automation, mobile reporting, and advanced detection and response (ADR) capabilities to protect SMBs against the latest targeted threats.
