Confluent Health Opens New Headquarters in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Confluent Health LLC celebrates its headquarters as local leaders and officials staged the groundbreaking for the $10 million project that will create 350 full-time jobs in Kentucky.

The project is expected to double the previous office space of 18,000 square feet to over 36,000 square feet. Confluent Health will expand its headquarters in response to significantly increased demand resulting from numerous acquisitions and organic growth. Jobs created with the expansion will include marketing, IT, human resources, and administrative and executive roles. The project was announced in January this year and work on the new facility began soon after. Confluent currently employs 125 people in Louisville.

“Confluent Health is a Kentucky-born and raised healthcare company investing in innovation for an accessible and equitable future of musculoskeletal care,” said Confluent Health President and CEO Dr. Larry Benz. “We are proud to expand our national footprint while deepening our roots in the bluegrass state.”

Confluent Health operates five divisions, including 45 physical and occupational therapy business partners covering more than 530 outpatient physical therapy sites in 29 states. Confluent Health operates a higher education business focused on post-professional education where it houses a residency and fellowship program and offers academic partnerships in entry-level physical and occupational therapy, as well as PA programs. It also operates an occupational health company with more than 1,500 workplace safety and injury prevention sites in 48 states, a national association of independent vendors, and Confluent Ventures, an innovation center providing digital health services, virtual reality physiotherapy and omnichannel healthcare journeys.

To encourage investment and job growth in the community, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) in January approved preliminary incentive agreements with the company under the Kentucky Business Investment Program. The performance-based agreement can provide tax incentives based on company investment and annual job creation and salary targets.

Additionally, Confluent Health may receive resources from Kentucky workforce service providers. These include free recruitment and placement services, low-cost customized training, and job training incentives.
