CompTIA Tech Career Academy is now accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET).

This recognition is the result of a comprehensive, multi-year review to ensure CTCA’s IT-Ready (Online) Tech Support program, a 16-week course that prepares students for IT job opportunities, meets the Rigorous quality educational standards set by ACCEPT.

ACCET has been officially recognized by the United States Department of Education since 1978 as a “trusted authority on the quality of education or training provided by institutions of higher learning and the programs they accredit”.

“Achieving institutional accreditation means a lot to CompTIA Tech Career Academy and to the students we serve,” said Nancy Hammervik, CEO of CompTIA Tech Career Academy. “It is a signal to our students that they are receiving a verified, top-quality education. Accreditation can be seen as a quality control measure that ensures our students receive the best.”

With accreditation, CompTIA Tech Career Academy will move its website (comptiatech.org) to the “.edu” domain, which is only assigned to accredited institutions and another signal that CTCA is a verified education provider.

Accredited institutions are eligible to seek approval for federal student aid funds, such as Pell Grants, Stafford Loans, Perkins Loans, and Guaranteed Student Loans.

“The demand for trained IT professionals continues to grow,” Hammervik said. “CompTIA’s core mission is to advance the technology industry and its workforce. The CompTIA Tech Career Academy is now able to extend our reach to a wider population so that we can train more people and help more organizations of all sizes meet their need for well-trained workers.”

The IT-Ready Tech Support (online) program focuses on technology hardware and software skills ranging from building a computer from scratch to configuring and managing a network. Students also benefit from focused professional development to hone essential business skills, such as communication, conflict management, teamwork, critical thinking, and problem solving. After completing the course, students take the CompTIA A+ certification exam, a vendor-neutral professional certification that is the IT industry’s preferred credential for entry-level technology jobs.

CompTIA Tech Career Academy provides its students with career placement services with opportunities to connect with a network of over 400 employer partners. Financial aid options, including scholarships for eligible students, low-interest loans, and self-pay plans, are available for those who qualify. [1]
