BIBF participates in the Arab International Summit on Cybersecurity

Manama: The Bahrain Banking and Finance Institute (BIBF), the region’s leading training and development provider, participated as a knowledge partner in the Arab International Cybersecurity Summit, held from 6 to December 8 at the Bahrain World Expo, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and in the presence of a large group of regional and international experts.

Bringing together cybersecurity experts and thought leaders from around the world, the summit aimed to drive innovation in information security, highlight major international initiatives and trends in the field, discuss key cybersecurity challenges in the MENA region and explore best practices and solutions. to promote information security in all sectors.

Highlighting the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts to drive digital transformation in the region, BIBF Director Dr. Ahmed Al-Shaikh said, “As an integral part of the Kingdom’s national security and economic growth, the cybersecurity is at the top of the Kingdom’s national agenda. We are proud to have participated in this event which explores current and future trends in cybersecurity, particularly in the banking and financial sectors”.

“The BIBF is committed to delivering quality training programs and professional qualifications, based on market demands, to develop national frameworks in the areas of digital transformation and cybersecurity.” Dr Al Shaikh added.

For her part, the Acting Head of Digital Transformation and Project Management Center at BIBF, Ms. international partners in the fields of cybersecurity, digital transformation, As the knowledge partner of the event, the BIBF encouraged knowledge sharing by offering free sessions to raise awareness among individuals and organizations on the importance cybersecurity and digital transformation.

During the Summit, BIBF expert trainers facilitated a series of sessions aimed at raising awareness on various topics related to cyberspace. Blockchain Expert, Mr. Fawaz Shukrallah gave a session titled “Blockchain Security”, and BIBF Speaker, Mr. Nishanth Kumar gave a live demo of DevSecOps, while BIBF Keynote Speaker, Mr. Yousif Faraj , delivered a session entitled “Stay Secure”, in which he discussed the risks of cybercrime and the effect of modern technology on the financial and commercial sector.

Finally, Mr. Khalifa Aljawder, IT and Management Consultant, gave a session to further explain the ISACA certifications offered at BIBF in cooperation with the ISACA Bahrain Chapter, and how these qualifications can significantly increase learners’ chances of improve their careers and get high. – paid jobs.
