HIRING: Architect/Architectural Designer to join a small, thriving, design-oriented architecture studio


Jennifer Weiss Architecture is a thriving design-focused architecture studio in San Francisco. Our work has been recognized and featured in advertisements from The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Dwell Magazine, California Home and Design, House Beautiful, San Francisco Chronicle Magazine, Remodelista, and Apple, Inc. Our office is centrally located in San Francisco, 1 block from Laurel Village and 2 blocks from the coveted Sacramento Street corridor in Presidio Heights, and we hold most of our meetings in our large outdoor garden. We are professional, friendly, efficient and pride ourselves on our high quality work and team. Founded in 2005, we have a thriving practice that is thoughtfully growing and are looking for team members who are interested in a long-term career with us.


In a small office setting, you will have the opportunity to work and learn on multiple aspects of all our projects. Entry level team member responsibilities include drafting, modeling, design explorations, design development assistance, document generation (schematic design, design development, permits, documents construction, etc.), the creation of physical and computer models and various contributions to the project such as developing customer presentations, product research and sourcing, collaborating with, helping and learning from the team to develop skills , take responsibility and, ideally, eventually become part of long-term management. We are looking for team members with excellent design, communication, interpersonal and graphic skills. Our small team is made up of talented, smart, resourceful, creative, positive, tenacious, flexible, detail-oriented, detail-oriented and self-driven people, and we are looking for the same in this position.


  • 2 years minimum. professional experience
  • M. Arch degree preferred, B. Arch recipients with production experience are encouraged to apply
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling (preferably in SketchUp) required.
  • Ability to prioritize workload based on, often working on multiple projects at once
  • Ability to work independently with efficiency and care, and as part of a team.
  • Authorization to work in the United States
